Bosnia Short-term Trip

APPLICATION - 2026

Applications for this trip will be received until March 1st.

Purpose:

To serve and encourage our Alliance Global Partners in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina. We will visit local churches and interact with local believers. Observe the work that our partners do, possible opportunities to engage in one-on-one English conversations at the center, and help prepare for the Thanksgiving event at the center with local Bosnians. 

Dates:

Approximately November 5-15th, with the Thanksgiving event being on November 14th.

Cost:

You can expect this trip to cost approximately $2700 per person (estimated $1700 air fare + $1000 in-country costs). This estimate is based on previous trip costs; the actual amount of this trip is to be determined. The church will be invited to give toward individuals going on this trip, but team members are responsible for covering their own costs and are encouraged to raise support through personal fundraising.

Deadlines:

    • March 1 - Applications are due

    • March 31 - The team is selected

    • June 1st - First half of airfare due (approx. $850)

    • July 1st - Second half of airfare due (approx. $850), plane tickets are purchased

    • September 1st - In-country costs are due (approx. $1,000)

Please keep in mind that mission trips require flexibility and it is possible that our purpose may change or be adjusted.

Thank you for your interest in participating in a short-term mission trip with East Hills Alliance Church.  To make this trip successful, please read the following:

  • By submitting this application to be a part of an East Hills short-term team, you acknowledge that you are personally responsible to pay for, or arrange funding for, your portions of the trip costs.

  • No one will be considered or accepted as a team member until a completed application is received.

  • Short-term mission trips can be rewarding and life-changing; however, they can also be stressful. Please consider factors in your personal life at this time that may distract or prohibit you from fully committing to the mission of the trip and adapting to unusual conditions.

  • Once accepted, team members are expected to attend all team meetings. These are typically Monthly for 5-6 months before the trip departure.

  • If you are unable to participate in your trip, the Team Leader must receive a cancellation notice as soon as possible. You may be responsible for all trip costs that cannot be refunded.

  • Team members will be given information regarding passports and vaccination recommendations. Passport and vaccination costs are not included in the trip costs and are the responsibility of the team member. Team members assume responsibility and liability for their personal health decisions.

  • By signing this application, I understand that if chosen to participate in this trip, I am willingly taking on all the risks associated with foreign travel and spending time in a foreign country. Though the East Hills team will do what is reasonably possible to ensure my safety, I accept responsibility for any and all such liability. I am willing to submit to the leadership of this team and to the Alliance team in Bosnia. It is my desire to see Christ glorified in my life and throughout the country of Bosnia & Herzegovina.
