Pastries and Praise by Wayne

Our first day in Bosnia was very good. We started with pastries, and then an hour later sat down at a restaurant as a team for breakfast. Well fed is one way to describe how we began the day here in Sarajevo.

We walked down the Center for orientation and lunch with Petula. We got to enjoy some stories from Petula of the great work that they are doing in the city and hear about some of the things that we’ll be up to this week.

I snuck a quick walk whilst a few on the team found a quick nap with the hour or so between finishing up at the Center and heading out to worship practice.

This evening we had supper with some of the IWs before the worship night. Some of us from the team joined Petula in leading worship for the evening of praise through song and prayer. Keeping up with chord charts in another language is quite and adventure.

We did some of the songs in English and others in Bosnian. It was a wonderful time in the presence of God and getting to connect with those serving here in Sarajevo.

As we pulled away headed home we forgot Brad, but we stopped just up the road to let him catch up and hop in the car, I’m sure he was grateful.

We are all excited about our time here and how the Lord might choose to work through us on this trip. Thanks for you prayers!
